Herberstein Wildlife Park is just 45 minutes from Graz and 90 minutes from Vienna!
We have threelarge visitor parking lots, which offer lovely, shady spots thanks to the many fruit trees. A spacious bus parking area is available for tour buses.
Of course, all parking spaces are free to use.
In the parking lot at Tierwelt Herberstein, there are two paid electric vehicle charging stations operated by Energie Steiermark, each with two charging ports.
This summer, too, day-trippers from the Graz area will get their money’s worth on weekends and holidays. Visitors who prefer to use public transportation now have the option of traveling comfortably from the Graz–Gleisdorf–Weiz area to Tierwelt Herberstein.
On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from May through the end of September 2024, you can once again take the RegioBus on Line 209 to travel between Weiz, the Feistritzklamm, Stubenberg, Herberstein, and Kaibing (or in the opposite direction). This means you can travel from Graz in both directions and back, enjoying a round-trip journey through the beautiful region of Eastern Styria.
Route 209 runs between Weiz and Kaibing. You can take Routes 200 and 201 from Graz to Weiz and transfer there, or take Route 300 from Graz to Kaibing and transfer there. You can get on and off at any stop along the way.
And with the Verbund leisure ticket priced at EUR 13.00 per person, this promotion is also an affordable option for families, since children up to age 15 ride for free as part of the existing family discount. (Requirement: a free “ZWEI UND MEHR Styrian Family Pass”).
You can get off at the Kaindorf bei Hartberg stop (about 10 minutes from Herberstein) or the Kaibing stop (about 5 minutes from Herberstein) and take a taxi (if booked in advance) from there to Tierwelt.
