Miniature pig

Sus scrofa domestica

Mini pig

Most mini pigs in Austria and Germany are crossbreeds, primarily involving the GΓΆttingen mini pig and the pot-bellied pig.Β  The ancestor of the domestic pig, which was domesticated in several locations across Eurasia between 5,000 and 3,000 B.C., is the wild boar. Pigs live in family groups and have a strict hierarchy within their family (herd).
