Darkness is slowly settling over Herberstein Wildlife Park. Only the full moon casts its pale light on many of the animal enclosures. Under the title “Mystical Wildlife—The Magical Full Moon Festival,” we’ll be opening our gates in the evenings during summer vacation and warmly invite all wildlife park fans—whether big or small, young or old—to a spectacular moonlight festival.

The star animals of the evening are, of course, our wolf families. The Canadian Hudson Bay wolves, the timber wolves, and the polar wolves take center stage.

An enchanting full-moon night awaits many families. Visitors are often surprised by the sounds of the night—which may seem a bit spooky to you. Our nocturnal animals show their sweetest side in the evening. It’s pure goosebumps!

Herberstein Garden Castle offers guided tours as part of a “Mystical Adventure Tour Through the Deep Castle Cellar.” The highlight: the fire show on the river meadow

The spotlight is on nocturnal exotic animals—the loop trail is open
Candlelight & Cellar Tours at Herberstein Garden Castle from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Research Van – Observing Local Animals on a Projection Screen (starting at 9 p.m.)
Guided tours of the “House of Biodiversity” (at 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. each night)
Fire show on the castle lawn at 9 and 10 p.m.
