While things are really hopping in Gleisdorf, Tierwelt Herberstein is also kicking off its season at the same time, from March 21 to 24, 2019. The 2019 theme year, titled “Wildly Colorful Diversity—A Journey to the Exotic World of Animals,” focuses entirely on the park’s exotic residents. The biodiversity at Tierwelt Herberstein, located in Eastern Styria, continues to grow and now includes 85 animal species and over 700 animals.

“About 20 exotic animals come from faraway lands, and these are exactly the animals we’ll be spotlighting in 2019,” says Tierwelt director Doris Wolkner-Steinberger, adding, “We’ll also have a puppet show running throughout the season.”
