Riegersburg & Herberstein: Visitors Get the Best of Both Worlds

Just 30 km apart in the heart of eastern Styria lie two of the region’s largest and best-known tourist attractions. Riegersburg Castle, along with its bird of prey sanctuary, and Tierwelt Herberstein delight visitors of all ages with their exciting offerings and have been joining forces since this season.

Partnership Between Riegersburg and Herberstein

“Bring your Riegersburg admission ticket and you’ll receive a 10% discount off the regular admission price at Tierwelt Herberstein. And conversely, visitors to the zoo will also receive a 10% discount off the regular admission price when visiting Riegersburg or the Bird of Prey Sanctuary,” reports Tierwelt Managing Director Doris Wolkner-Steinberger proudly. “We are delighted that this partnership has come to fruition after numerous working meetings. As a destination, we want to not only welcome our shared guests but also inspire them,” says Dr. Prinz Emanuel v. u. z. Liechtenstein.

About Riegersburg

Proud and majestic, Riegersburg Castle stands as the symbol of Styria’s “Thermal-Volcanic Region,” perched atop a steep volcanic rock 482 meters high—with magnificent views included. Three exhibitions—the Castle Museum, the Witch Museum, and the Weapons Museum—round out the castle experience. At the birds-of-prey sanctuary, falcons, eagles, vultures, and even exotic birds showcase their flying skills. A truly unforgettable experience!

About Herberstein Wildlife Park

Herberstein Wildlife Park is home to over 700 animals from every continent. The zoo’s 2019 South American theme year is centered around the slogan “Arriba, arriba, andale, andale! A Wildly Colorful Diversity—A Journey to the Exotic World of Animals.”
