Tierwelt Herberstein Experts from 31 different zoos in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria attended the event. From Wednesday through Friday, an international exchange of experiences on all zoo-related topics will take place. This year’s thematic focus is on safety and communication. New media are also expected to play a significant role for European zoos in the future and help drive visitor growth, particularly among young visitors. The program also includes sightseeing tours in Graz and the Styrian Apple Country to showcase other areas of strength in Styria to conference guests.

Tierwelt Managing Director Doris Wolkner-Steinberger is delighted to be able to introduce “her” zoo to her colleagues: “Whether a zoo is large or small, whether millions of visitors pass through its gates annually or just a few hundred thousand—the tasks, the requirements, and the challenges are the same everywhere!”
