In the future, visitors to Tierwelt Herberstein will have the opportunity to explore the evolution from ape to human through many living examples—up close and right in the middle of the zoo!

It’s as if the university is coming to the zoo, making science come to life! A scientific guided tour based on practical and living examples! The tour lasts about 2 hours and is included in the admission price! It not only takes you to all of our monkey families but also offers a glimpse at the dangerous, predatory lions and analyzes the clever African gray parrots.

Do you want to know why animals perceive the world the way we do and why plants can’t? Why can monkeys imitate their own kind? Why can parrots learn to speak?
